BETTING THE RAINBOW
Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
In this latest visit to Harmony, Texas, three familiar characters are getting their happily ever afters. Told with a soft, gentle lyricism that parallels the town name, Thomas’ tale takes readers on a lovely trip to a place that they’ll hold in their hearts. While readers have met these characters before, the book stands well on its own.
Three houses stand on Rainbow Lane, a secluded place on a small lake. The first is home to longtime residents Dusti and Abby Delaney. The sisters have dreamed of leaving, so when a local poker tournament promises the winner money and a trip to Vegas, Dusti enters. Fortunately, her childhood friend, Kieron O’Brian, arrives in town just in time to teach her to play — but poker isn’t all Dusti will learn. Ronny Logan has toured the world trying to work through her grief, but now she’s making Rainbow Lane home. Ronny chose an almost inaccessible cottage on the far side of the lake, only to find that her neighbor, Austin Hawk, is trying to oust his own demons. Reagan Truman has also made Harmony her home, but her middle school sweetheart, Noah McAllen, now a prize-winning bull rider is always on the road. Are his ties to Reagan and to Harmony slipping?
