Werewolf king Salvatore Giuliani gets his comeuppance in Ivy's latest Guardians of Eternity novel. Salvatore has been a less than sympathetic character in the previous books, so turning him into the hero is a fun twist. Ivy does her usual excellent job of weaving intriguing plot threads and complicated characters into high-octane adventure.

For Salvatore, nothing is more important than finding a way to save the werewolf population from extinction. Having lost the first two genetically altered female pureblood weres to vampires, he is determined to get his hands on Harley. Harley, however, has been taught to distrust the arrogant king, so she's not inclined to cut him a break -- until they realize a demonic power has resurrected Briggs, Salvatore's old enemy and challenger for the crown.
