Conservative talk show host Sam Porter hasn't been able to forget erotic novelist Mercedes Brooks since she appeared on his show a year ago. Now that The Red Choo Diaries has been published, he invites her to appear again. Mercedes remembers the heat between them and accepts, but after one night together, he's gone, and she tells herself she doesn't care. Despite his actions, Sam can't stay away, even if it means endangering his reputation with his conservative fan base. When he decides to run for Congress, Mercedes knows she can only hurt his career. Beyond Seduction (3), by Kathleen O'Reilly, is a sexy opposites-attract story, but the chemistry between Sam and Mercedes feels forced, and the plot isn't very convincing.
