When Isaac Russell follows his brother-in-law to Idaho after becoming suspicious about his frequent business trips, he's shocked by what he finds: a second family, complete with wife and kids. And when his sister decides to follow her husband to Idaho after he chooses the other family, Isaac goes along to help support her and finds himself very attracted to Reenie O'Connell, his brother-in-law's first wife. Brenda Novak's Big Girls Don't Cry (3) is interesting, if, one hopes, unlikely. Isaac's sister is weak when she decides to follow her husband after what he's done, which doesn't make her all that likeable, but she redeems herself later when she refuses to take him back.
