This new addition to Miller’s Parable, Mont., series features plenty of old faces, but also some charming and intriguing new ones. All the characters, both two-legged and four-, are a joy to get acquainted with. The interaction among all the characters is quite entertaining.

Zane Sutton has had enough of Hollywood. At 34 he’s ready to settle down at Hangman’s Bend Ranch, which he purchased a few years ago with his brother, Landry. His first meeting with neighbor Brylee Parrish lets him know she has no use for actors. Barely settled in, Zane takes in his 12-year-old half-brother, and it’s not long until Landry shows up, too. Brylee has made a huge success of her business, Décor Galore, and would gladly marry if she could find a man half as loyal as her dog. Is it possible Zane could be that man? Only time will tell.
