THE BILLIONAIRE’S HOUSEKEEPER MISTRESS (4) by Emma Darcy: Billionaire Ethan Cartwright inadvertently gets Daisy Donohue fired by showing too much interest in her at a society event. Remorseful and unwilling to let feisty Daisy walk out of his life, Ethan offers her a job overseeing the remodeling of his mansion. Daisy’s family is destitute, so she accepts. Pretty soon she’s in love with Ethan, but the knowledge that they come from two different worlds keeps her from sharing how she really feels. An endearing heroine and a down-to-earth, yet rich, hero give this story more than its fair share of charm. Darcy handles the “worlds collide” motif with skill, adding unusual elements to the characters’ backgrounds, making the end that much more gratifying.
