Gina Haskell is on a mission to move her museum into an empty space in a department store. However, developer Dez Kerrigan already has plans for this space and he's having a hard time convincing Gina that moving the museum would be financial suicide. During all of this, an undeniable attraction rears its head that neither wants to ignore. The story behind THE BILLIONAIRE BID (1) by Leigh Michaels is driven by an issue, and as a result, the heroine comes off as very selfish and unable to see anything beyond her needs. It's not apparent why the hero would want to be with her.
