THE BITTER SEED OF MAGIC
by Suzanne McLeod

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Fertility, a curse and the survival of various fae races are at the heart of what haunts gutsy Sidhe heroine Genny Taylor. The third chapter in McLeod’s rich and engaging Spellcracker series delves deeply into genealogy and family secrets, many of which are twisted beyond belief. McLeod uses her gift for storytelling to deliver a truly terrific read that is certain to keep you perched on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

Although she’d hoped for life to calm down, Genny Taylor is at the epicenter of a frightening curse that has destroyed the lesser fae’s ability to procreate. Unless Genny breaks the curse, magic will die in this world. The easiest way to break the curse would be for Genny to get pregnant, which is not a path she wants to pursue, but she may have little choice if the host of various fae standing in line to seduce her have any say. The murder of a young faeling points Genny in a new direction that could lead to answers regarding the curse. However, when angry gods get involved, things are bound to get nasty!
