BLACK BUTLER VOLUME 2
by Yana Toboso

Genre: Comics/Graphic Novels/Manga, Manga

RT Rating

The story starts out very slowly, which makes it hard for the reader to stay hooked into the plot. There is action, but it felt choppy. The artwork is beautiful, however, the page set up is confusing, making it difficult to keep up with the complex story.

London is being terrorized by a murderer in the second volume of Black Butler series. Someone is stalking and killing women leaving everyone to assume that it must be Jack the Ripper. Queen Victoria doesn't care who it is as long as they are stopped. She brings in Earl Ciel Phantomhive to solve the mystery. Ciel and his multitasking butler Sebastian arrive in London and immediately get started on trying to solve the serial crimes. (Yen Press, May 2010, 178 pp., $10.99, Manga, 9780316084253)
