BLACK HEART
by Christina Henry

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

With this sixth entry in the heart- pumping Black Wings series, Henry delivers once again. Maddy is a strong, courageous character, and she grows with every book in the series. The supporting characters are just as engaging — Beezle the gargoyle is a personal favorite. And just as the characters continue to reveal new depths, the plot also continues to develop with steady, satisfying action. Some of the intricate details may be difficult for new readers to follow, but not impossible. No matter where you find yourself in the series, start reading!

Even though ex-Agent of Death Madeline Black saved mankind from an invasion of vampires, she’s still in serious danger from the Agency. She must trust her ex-fiancé, Nathaniel, to escort her to safety. But the world she’s transported to isn’t the place she hoped for — and she finds herself in the middle of a turf war between the fae and a familiar foe. Willing to do whatever it takes to protect her unborn son from her enemies, Maddy is about to take action in ways she hoped she’d never have to. (ACE, Nov., 288 pp., $7.99)
