Kallie and her friends must learn the true meaning of friendship in this Black Dust Mambo sequel, as events push each of them to the limit in order to survive. Phoenix has done it again. This is a nice blend of magic, mystery and humor!

Not only does Kallie Rivière have to deal with the loa inside of her, but also with the realization that it might be the cause of the category five hurricane headed her way. Intent on finding answers, Kallie teams up with nomad Layne and her best friend Belladonna in order to save not only her own life, but her missing cousin, Jackson, as well. Secrets find their way into the open and hearts are strained in the process. (POCKET, Jul., 384 pp., $7.99)
