RT Rating

Adair’s version of wizards and magic makes a much-welcomed return in a hot new adventure that brings estranged lovers back into contact. This book stands on its own just fine, but for a fuller experience it helps to have been previously exposed to the world and its dangers. Adair is a master of pulling together exciting adventure and burning passion to make a spine-tingling read!

Wizards Jackson Slater and Sara Temple shared passion, but were broken apart by misunderstanding — or was it manipulation? A horrible disease appears to be affecting wizards, stealing their powers and killing them. When Sara’s surrogate father succumbs and turns murderous, geologist Jack inadvertently teleports to her side. The evidence indicates that a power long thought to be extinct is rising once more. The Wizard Council needs Jack and Sara to investigate and learn if the snake-like Omnivatics have returned to gain power from a returning comet. Can these lovers forget their past? Sara Temple and Jackson Slater shared a past that’s full of passion and heartbreak. They are thrown together again when some unknown force sets out to rid the world of its most powerful wizards. Jackson and Sara must work together to find the threat and save the world. You can’t help but root for these two to overcome the barriers that have kept them apart. Black Magic is not to be missed. Cherry Adair always does a wonderful job of bringing her characters to life. You will definitely want to add this one to your “to be read” list!
