Just married and believing that her stepmother is having an affair with her husband, 18-year-old Imogen runs off to Brazil on her wedding day, leaving her inheritance in the hands of her cheating spouse, Dracco Barrington. Four years later, she returns to reclaim her income. Dracco sees this as a golden opportunity to win back his wife and proposes a "business arrangement." If Imogen stays married to him and gives him a son, he will provide her with millions. Penny Jordan's THE BLACKMAIL BABY (3) is a very angsty, powerfully emotional tale, but lacks credibility because of childish behavior from the heroine and a conflict that could have been resolved with a five-minute conversation.
