The second book in Barrett’s Star Harbor series is absolutely adorable. This is a terrific contemporary tale complete with two complex characters who have full lives separately and even fuller lives once they start their relationship. While the mystery surrounding Avery’s aunt’s inn slows down the plot some, nothing can put a damper on the strong feelings the hero and the heroine have toward each other.

Social worker Avery Newbridge is in the small town of Star Harbor to care for her aunt. With several personal issues on her plate, she is not looking for love, but no woman is immune to a Grayson male. Theo Grayson has returned to his home town for a break from the city life and hopefully to recharge his creativity. With a book deadline looming, Theo is fresh out of ideas. But when the complicated Avery crosses his path, he finds his muse. Will these two — who seem to be moving in different directions — realize what they are looking for is right in front of them?
