The second book in the Class Reunion series follows the events surrounding the 15-year reunion. Some of the situations seem too similar to the first novel, and the storyline doesn’t advance as quickly as the reader might hope. Yet the humor is engaging, and readers will be interested to find out what happens at the 20th reunion.

Priscilla Slater has come a long way in the past five years. She now owns more salons and is even closer to her dream of selling her hair products on a TV sales network. Tim remains her friend, but although he would like their relationship to go further, Priscilla is happy with the way things are and doesn’t have time for romance. As the reunion draws closer and she spends more time in her hometown, will Priscilla finally get the recognition she craves from her peers and her parents? (ABINGDON, Aug., 352 pp., $14.99)
