This novel has it all: romance, adventure, travel and mystery. The African setting places the reader in the center of the action and allows a glimpse into a life few will experience firsthand.

Natalie Sinclair meets Dhambizao native Joseph Komboli when she visits his village to provide vaccinations. They meet again after he witnesses his family being kidnapped by "ghost soldiers" and taken away to work in the mines. The general public doesn't believe in the existence of modern-day slavery, but Joseph now has photos. The two join together with physician Chad Talcott to show the photos to those in the government, but someone is determined to keep the three of them quiet -- even if it means silencing them permanently.
