A romance between a vampire and a dragon(ess) could be really bad or a classic love story, but in the talented Page’s hands, it’s a well-crafted page turner with intense sexual situations. It’s a lovely take on the fairy-tale theme and a compelling story of lovers making sacrifices.

Lucy Drake must repay her brother’s gambling debts. She has little to bargain with but she offers the man holding the chits the only thing she has of value: her innocence. Sinjin, the Duke of Greystone, wants that and more. The vampire and dragon-slayer wants to avenge his family’s deaths – killed by dragons – by destroying Lucy and her siblings. What he doesn’t count on is falling in love. He is also searching for his nephew, who was taken by Lucy’s father, supposedly for his protection. (APHRODISIA, Apr., 352 pp., $14.00)
