Jeffries brings back the vampires introduced in Blood Lust. Ursula's quick wit and smart mouth make it impossible not to smile while turning the pages. Plus, Jeffries' descriptive writing makes the characters in this action-packed story real. No doubt we will see them again -- at least one other love story seems to be waiting in the wings.
Has this world lost its common sense? The U.S. has decided to eradicate vampires, even though they've proven that they work well with the Army. After her elite force saves a group of people, Major Ursula Carlson is convinced that vampires have a lot to offer.
But hours after her latest successful mission, Ursula is denied a major promotion and ordered to work with the Army to kill all existing vampires. She refuses to participate and instead joins forces with the ultra-sexy Solomon, a vampire with whom she shares a strong and unbreakable bond. (GENESIS/INDIGO, Apr., 300 pp., $9.95)
