Suspenseful from the get-go, Blood Stains provides the perfect escape with its engrossing, fast pace. Although the novel’s mystery, plot and conclusion are predictable, the ride will keep you on your toes with characters and emotions that will surprise you. Full of unlikely coincidences and Maria’s nearly unbelievable goodness and purity, what makes this novel special are the warm, happy feelings you’ll get as you read — it’s just a satisfying story. Sala definitely has the suspense angle mastered and readers won’t be disappointed.
