A great behind-the-scenes look at the world of amateur boxing is provided in this story of two young lovers who fight to maintain their once-strong relationship. Although it starts off a little slow this story quickly picks up to provide an interesting narrative.

Amateur boxer Alonzo “The Champ” Ingram was destined for stardom in the boxing world. He was so close to fighting for a title and the opportunity to provide for his girlfriend and infant son. However, when things start to go awry he resorts to what he knows best to provide for them — working for a local gangster.

Lanisha Elder has been submerged in the world of boxing all of her life. Her father was a former boxer and her desire for her love, Lonzo, and their infant son is to bask in Lonzo’s glory as a titled boxer and to live as a happy family. When life, in the form of bad choices, jealous and envious people and health issues, threaten the couple they begin to realize that they must band together to overcome and to be together.
