BLUEGRASS BLESSINGS (3) by Allie Pleiter: Dinah Hopkins is disappointed when real-estate developer Cameron Rollings purchases her bakery and apartment building, which she'd hoped to buy. When Cameron discovers the land he plans to build on is known locally as Lullaby Lane, he's determined to get the name changed and makes a deal with Dinah. He'll help her with her problem oven if she'll help him get the name changed. Then Dinah's called home to New Jersey by her ill mother, and Cameron becomes more involved with her business, the town and Dinah that he would ever have imagined. Pleiter writes a sweet story about God's mysterious ways, but her attempt to write in a Southern voice doesn't ring true.
