This gripping conclusion to the Artists Trilogy may actually blow the socks off readers’ feet. Halle takes us on a wild ride flooded with gunshots, drug dealers and heart-pumping action. It does tend to be a bit confusing, with too many names mentioned if one hasn’t read the prior books, but take the time and have patience because the pay-off is too grand for words. The author has an extraordinary ability to tell a story that just about jumps from the pages directly onto the big screen. Fans of suspense and twisted romance will be overjoyed with Halle’s talent.

Ellie has no choice but to trek through Mexico with Camden McQueen and Javier Bernal, an uncomfortable trio to say the very least. They form a bond and come to agree that they each must play a part in order to survive. Ellie’s mother has abandoned her, she discovers her father is dead, and Travis — the evil man they’re on the hunt for — could destroy her and her two-man team. How far will they go? Is it possible to escape from threatening villains while traversing the Honduran jungles in order to find both answers and true love? (FOREVER-ROMANCE.COM, dl $2.99)
