Book Review

THE BOSS AND NURSE ALBRIGHT
by Lynne Marshall

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Readers who enjoy books with a good dose of medical jargon will love Marshall's approach to storytelling. The romance builds on a foundation of mutual respect, but it's challenged by the hurdle of Claire's battle with lupus.

Claire Albright escaped an emotionally abusive husband and is now making a fresh start for herself and her daughter, Gina. Her new position as a nurse practitioner for a family-owned medical practice will give her the flexibility she needs to raise Gina and utilize her homeopathic skills.

Claire was told she would have free rein when dealing with her patients, but when that runs over into Dr. Jason Rogers' territory, the fur begins to fly - after all, he's the boss. Claire can't understand why he's so withdrawn, especially after she sees the pain when he meets her daughter.

When she inadvertently helps one of his patients, Claire and Jason begin a tentative relationship. Then Claire suffers a flare-up of a dormant illness and the relationship dynamic changes drastically.
