BOUGHT: FOR HIS CONVENIENCE OR PLEASURE?
BOUGHT: FOR HIS CONVENIENCE OR PLEASURE? (2) by Maggie Cox: Five years ago Nikolai Golitsyn and Ellie Lyons were close to beginning a passionate affair when Nikolai's brother, who was also Ellie's brother-in-law, died in a car accident. Nikolai blamed Ellie, who was driving. Now Nikolai has adopted their niece Arina, and he's decided it's time to marry so she'll have a mother. His choice? Ellie! She wants to spend time with Arina, but Nikolai will only allow it if she marries him. If she refuses, there will be a high price to pay! The often-used marriage-of-convenience plot feels stale. Although some of the hero's machinations are downright mean, he does apologize, so the story ends on an uplifting note.
