In this spectacular sequel to The Boyfriend List, Roo is back for more angst-filled trauma, and her wit, sarcasm and pain make this book hard to put down. Lockhart, an ingenious YA author, realizes the seriousness of high schoolers' emotions but keeps a sense of humor. Even with their fun titles and cute covers, her books have depth.

Roo is still hurt from being dumped by Jackson for her best friend, Kim. Kim isn't talking to her -- and neither is most of her former clique. As she tries to find her place again, Roo makes friends with a new boy and one girl from her former clique. Also, Dr. Z continues to help her with her boy issues.
