BRANDED WITH HIS BABY
BRANDED WITH HIS BABY (2) by Stella Bagwell: When rancher Quint Cantrell learns his grandfather, Abe, has hired nurse Maura Donovan, he's worried. Abe's condition isn't serious -- he just enjoys Maura's company. Maura interests Quint too, despite his cynicism about women, and he's not subtle about showing it. But she's already had one husband who didn't love her, so even when she accidentally gets pregnant, she refuses to consider marriage. Gossip changes Maura's mind, but can she and Quint find a way to believe in love again? A strong conflict provides a solid backbone for this story, but it falls flat in characterization, and the plot often seems unnecessarily complicated.
