BREAKFAST AT BETHANY'S

Author(s):

Hoping to meet Mr. Right, barrista Beth Von Meeter takes on Internet dating, with some difficulty, when she meets journalist Spencer James, who helps her refine the process in exchange for her assistance with an article. Spencer attracts Beth more than any of her dates, but he refuses to get emotionally involved—so it's just sex. Which is fine, until Beth realizes she's in love and tries to forget him and move on. Kathleen O'Reilly's Breakfast at Bethany's (4) works because of its multilayered hero and his realistic relationship with the heroine.
