Coping with his brother Scott's death is difficult enough. But then Callum Roper's crush arrives in the outback carrying Scott's baby. Worse, Stella Lassiter's pregnancy casts a pall on their conservative senator father's upstanding reputation. Stella knows Scott wasn't ready for commitment, but she's hardly prepared for Callum's sudden offer of marriage. She'll need the help, however, if she wants to pursue a job offer as a globe-trotting meteorologist. Barbara Hannay makes a tricky plot (one that might foil lesser authors) work well in A BRIDE AT BIRRALEE (4). Instead of being mired in cliché, the story is rich with emotion and chemistry.
