THE BRIDE WORE SPURS
THE BRIDE WORE SPURS (3) by Janet Dean: Sent to Charleston for a year, Hannah Parrish returns to Bliss, Texas, more determined than ever to remain a rancher. The discovery that her father is dying and wants her to sell the ranch places her in a desperate position. To save the property, she proposes marriage to widower Matt Walker, the neighbor who has been helping her father run the ranch. Matt is still mourning his wife, and neither expects love from this marriage of convenience — but things don’t always work out as expected. Though the hero and heroine have disagreements, it’s nice that they work them out quickly. Unfortunately, a lack of description makes some scenes seem unrealistic and over too quickly.
