Tessa Sinclair has a heart of gold. When her stage is robbed and the driver shot, she manages to get the stage into town safely.

Marshall Jared Trent is furious with Tessa for putting herself in danger. But there are worse troubles in store than this. When her brother is killed in a mine cave-in, Tessa decides to keep the mine running while still helping her mother manage their boarding house.

Tessas need to help others gets her in real trouble when she helps a battered woman leave her abusive husband. Boyd Wilson is out to punish Tessa for interfering in his marriage. He kidnaps her, and though Tessa is terrified, she knows Jared will come to the rescue.

He does, but misunderstandings drive them apart. When Tessa gets caught up in Jared and Steve Madisons plan to try and find the men who robbed the stage, both Tessa and Jared understand that they have to put aside any and all differences to capture the gang and find true love.

Another wonderful read by consummate storyteller Bobbi Smith, TESSA is the second in the Brides of Durango series. Filled with adventure and romance, more than one couple winds up happily ever after in this gem. SENSUAL (On-sale Feb., 393 pp., $5.99)
