Williford uses a true story as the basis for an incredible tale of three families caught in a terrible tragedy. Spiritual truths are brought to light and will help to strengthen readers’ faith. Although the reader knows the horrible event is coming, the eventual conclusion both uplifts and touches the heart in many ways.

Maureen is frustrated with her marriage and family and wonders if she really matters to God. Fran and Charles receive devastating news about their young son that shakes the foundation of their relationship. College student Michal is torn apart by relationship struggles in light of her desire to become a missionary.
