Confirmed bachelor Zeke Coulter is looking forward to starting his new life on his own property. But that feeling of contentment is jolted when he discovers that a troubled 12-year-old neighbor named Chad has vandalized his house and garden.

Following a nasty divorce, Natalie Patterson took her two children and moved back in with her father and grandfather. The divorce was especially hard on her son, Chad. When Zeke confronts Natalie over her son's destructive behavior, she reluctantly agrees that Chad can work off the damage and debt. Zeke soon finds himself taken with sexy Natalie and her kids.

Natalie once dreamed of being a successful singer and songwriter, but she gave that up for her husband. Now, despite their divorce, Robert Patterson's behavior continues to affect Natalie and the kids—so much so that they are drawn into danger.

Offbeat family members and genuine familial love give a special lift to this marvelous story. An Anderson book is a guaranteed great read! (Jun., 432 pp., $6.99)
