Hilarious! Readers will love Charisse and the funny way she relates her life story. Despite some serious situations, comedy abounds, keeping the story somewhat lighthearted as she valiantly tries to find Mr. Right. Her “self talk” makes the story even funnier and her vulnerability allows readers to empathize with her.

Charisse Tyson wants a husband and family but is tired of attracting the wrong type of man. As she evaluates her situation she starts a quest to rid herself of past practices by abstaining from men in order to evaluate her past relationships. However, sticking to her pact with herself to stay away from men for a while proves to be a challenge. But over the course of her adventures she finally meets a man who who cares for her, leaving her Bum Magnet status in the past. (POCKET STAR, Apr., 368 pp., $6.99)
