BURNING DOWN THE SPOUSE
For those of us in recovery from divorce, this book is a shot in the arm, full of support and joy. Readers who liked Cassidy’s last book, You Dropped a Blonde on Me, will continue to cheer for the gals that suck it up and never let a bad man keep ‘em down.
Frankie discovered that her chef husband was a cheater while she was dressing the set for his TV show. Unfortunately, the show was live so the whole world knows too. Now, divorced and broke, she is living with her Aunt Gail, who recruits Maxine, reformed trophy wife and head of Trophy Jobs Employment Agency, to intervene. Maxine coerces Frankie into a job interview at a local diner that features the world’s best meatloaf — and a world-class hottie of an owner. Both Frankie and Nikos have been badly scorched in the past and are wary of the heat between them. They’ll need to deal with the past if they want to sample the delights of love with each other.
