Photographer and artist Anne Lundy is tired of her adoptive big brother's attorney, Rick Danton, overprotecting her. But Anne needs Rick's help when she's contacted by someone claiming to represent her biological parents. Mindful of his employer's wealth and Anne's vulnerability, Rick looks into the matter -- and ends up accompanying her to Japan to meet her birth mother. Tormented by his own family history, Rick struggles to resist Anne when the long-simmering attraction between them finally flares. But it's a losing battle! Jackie Braun's The Businessman's Bride (4) combines traditional conventions with modern elements to good effect. There's plenty of plot, but it never overshadows the romance.
