With a lot of snappy repartee and funny scenes, this book features a former bad girl and a jock getting a second chance at love. Comedy mixed with tragedy makes Busted a fantastic read. The light teasing dialogue doesn’t disguise the genuine heart behind the book. The ending is a case of classic ‘80s movie magic that will put a smile on readers’ faces. As the third book in the Promise Harbor Wedding series, it can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s better as part of the series.

Hockey star Jackson Knight has to return to Promise Harbor; he is the best man in his friend’s wedding. It is the last place he wants to be, with every puck-bunny trying to nab him and everyone else asking what his plans are now that an injury has stopped his hockey career. Then he comes face to face with Hayley Stone, the local teen bad girl who grew up to become a police detective. After she arrests him over an accident at the bachelor party and her ex-boyfriend comes poking around, Jackson comes up with a plan to attend the wedding as a couple. What’s a girl to do when her high school crush asks for a favor? (SAMHAINPUBLISHING.COM, dl $5.50)
