After Caitlin Jackson's uncle dies and leaves her a ranch worth millions, she's determined to sell so that she and her deaf brother, Brandon, never have to worry about money again. But when they arrive at the ranch and meet Zach Carson, the man who's been caring for the property, their goals change. Caitlin and her brother fall in love with the ranch and with Zach. Barbara McMahon's excellent use of description gives readers a bird's-eye view of ranch life in Caitlin's Cowboy (4). McMahon also does a great job of presenting Zach's post-traumatic stress disorder from his time in the military.
