THE CALAMITY JANES
by Sherryl Woods

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Emma Rogers has gone back to her hometown of Winding River, Wyoming for a class reunion. Being a lawyer, Emmas experience with the media hasnt been good and Ford Hamilton, the new owner of the town paper, threatens her need to be in control.

Ford gave up his job with a big city newspaper to settle in Winding River, only small town news takes getting used to. The biggest story he has to cover is Emmas class reunionuntil the day an act of domestic violence gets out of hand and someone ends up dead.

Now Ford is covering this controversial story and Emma has decided to represent the defendant. At odds over the fairness of the situation, Ford and Emma continually spar with one another.

THE CALAMITY JANES is an emotionally charged romance with a dramatic portrayal of spouse abuse. Ive always enjoyed Sherryl Woods stories and this one is excellent, as usual. (Oct., 304 pp., $5.99)
