CAPTAIN OF HER HEART
CAPTAIN OF HER HEART (4) by Lily George: England, 1816: The death of Lord Handley has left his family destitute. It falls to his daughter, Harriet, to fix their situation, as her mother is too prone to hysteria to do so. Though they have hopes that the return of Captain John Brookes, and his marriage to her younger sister, will solve their problems, these hopes are shattered when Sophie rejects the now wounded and scarred captain, knowing she does not love him. While Harriet spends time with John doing research on a book she hopes to get published, John wonders if perhaps he chose the wrong sister. This is a delightful Regency romance with numerous likable characters and a strong and intelligent heroine.
