THE CAPTAIN'S LADY (4) by Louise M. Gouge: March 1776, London. Lady Marianne has loved Capt. James Templeton for a while, but her father won't let her marry the American ship captain. Jamie, who is part of the rebel cause, has been asked by Gen. Washington to do some spying to learn what the English have planned. When Jamie learns Marianne has stowed away on his America-bound ship, he knows there's no turning back for either of them. Can a ship's captain and an earl's daughter share a future in the American colonies? Gouge's interesting read has romance, intrigue, spies and secrets. Her characters are well thought out, and the storyline flows nicely.
