CARRIE GOES OFF THE MAP
by Phillipa Ashley

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

Quirky and fun, Carrie Goes Off the Map is a pleasant mix of beach read and Brit chick lit. Carrie is a true-to-life, volatile woman taken firmly out of her comfort zone by the whims of fate, bad boyfriends and circumstance. Matt, Carrie’s love interest, is an appealing and realistic male lead, whose eyes will smolder even for the reader. The sex is mild though descriptively blunt in the way of the modern generation’s attitudes. Overall a diverting read, though not world-changing.

Carrie’s fiancé returned from his stag night stumblingly drunk — and dumped her. The reasons behind the abrupt end of their relationship were many, though Carrie knew none of them herself. In an effort to forget the heartbreak she’s been subjected to, Carrie and her girlfriend Rowena plan a cross-country trip in a VW camper, but the adventures Carrie experiences are far from what she expects.
