THE CAT SITTER'S CRADLE
by Blaize Clement, John Clement

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

Before her death, Blaize Clement collaborated with her son on the plot and characters in her upcoming Dixie Hemingway books. This eighth in an excellent series is a captivating adventure that starts off with a series of different events that eventually coincide and then wrap up nicely in a satisfying and riveting conclusion.

Pet sitter Dixie Hemingway and her friend, Joyce, stumble upon an injured exotic bird in the park — near a young undocumented girl and a newborn. Fearing the girl will be in trouble if they call authorities, Joyce offers her shelter. Meanwhile, Dixie takes on a new catsitting job for the wealthy Harwick family. During one of her visits, Dixie finds Mr. Harwick at the bottom of the pool. As Dixie starts investigating the death, she uncovers plenty of secrets, which may just prompt the killer to strike again.
