Worried because she hasn't heard from her brother in several weeks, Charity Denham goes to Australia in search of him. By the time she gets there, he's long gone, and his former boss, cattle farmer Kane McKinnon, isn't talking about where he went. Kane is, however, willing to offer Charity a job as housekeeper while she's in the area—and she needs a place to stay. Becoming The Cattleman's English Rose (4) isn't on her agenda, but Kane's irresistible! Barbara Hannay's newest is reminiscent of early romances set in Australia, but thankfully there's a lot more emphasis on characterization and sensuality than there is on scenery.
