A CHANCE WORTH TAKING
Genre: Series, Harlequin NASCAR, Current Series Imprints
In A Chance Worth Taking (4), Carrie Weaver explores life's choices and consequences and how they affect not only us but those around us. Michael is a gifted young scientist torn between taking a full ride to Stanford and an offer from Sam Kinkaid to join his NASCAR racing team as a driver. To the chagrin of his mother, Tess, he chooses life at the track. Tess accompanies her son to Charlotte, where she and Sam start to have feelings for each other. It's not an easy ride, however, especially when fame goes to Michael's head and he starts drinking and womanizing. This is not only a delightful love story for Tess and Sam, it's a rough coming-of-age story for Michael as well.
