CHANGING THE GAME
This book is wonderful from beginning to end, even for those who are not baseball fans. The sex scenes are explicit but not raunchy and are sure to leave readers wiggling in their seats. My only criticism: There is a lack of closure for the heroine; the author emphasizes her estranged relationship with her parents but the issue is never resolved.
Elizabeth Darnell is a cut-throat sports agent who allowed the love of her job to strip her of one of her biggest clients, Mick Riley. Determined to get back in the game, she throws all of her energy behind her other clients, including Mick’s younger brother, Gavin. Elizabeth has been in love with Gavin for years and has managed to keep her feelings at bay until he propositions her. What starts out as simple and steamy sex turns into more than either of them are ready for. (HEAT, Aug., 320 pp., $15.00)
