When Lacey Dachin meets Randy Reynolds, they form a fast friendship. Working in stores next to each other in the mall leads them to spend a great deal of time together. When Randy is present during a situation with Lacey's sister and her husband, Lacey discovers Randy is a recovering alcoholic. How will this affect their growing relationship, since alcoholic family members have caused so much pain in her life? Gail Sattler tackles this tough subject with grace in Changing Her Heart (3). However, the plot often feels heavy due to the subject matter and not much reliance on God on Lacey's part.
