Book Review

CHASING SUNSETS
by Eva Marie Everson

Genre: Inspirational, Mainstream

RT Rating

Everson’s evocative writing puts the reader in the midst of the gorgeous seaside setting. It takes a while to connect with the characters, but after a few chapters they seem like real people. The abrupt ending is puzzling, but possibly a sequel is in the works to further explore this wonderful family.

A year after a divorce that Kimberly Tucker did not want, she is required to surrender her two sons to their father for five weeks during the summer. Depressed about the situation, Kimberly’s father encourages her to spend the time at the family’s seaside summer home on Cedar Key Island. While there, she reconnects with Stephen, the high school sweetheart who broke her heart. Can Kimberly learn to surrender control to God in order to experience love once again?
