Tate’s amazing ability to connect with the reader on both personal and spiritual levels elevates this novel far above the rest. Those looking for hope and encouragement will find it on the pages of this superb book. Some characters in the tale continue from the author’s previous book, Faithful, but it can stand alone.

At her brother’s wedding, Kelli London performs the last song she wrote many years before, when she dreamed of being a singer and songwriter. She set that aside after devastating events involving her boyfriend Brian crushed her spirit. Yet Kelli hears God calling her back, not only to live near her family again, but to write songs. When she reconnects with Brian, the results aren’t what anyone could have expected. (THOMAS NELSON, Sep., 336 pp., $15.99)
