Julianne McKenzie, 40 and divorced, reluctantly agrees to accompany her cousins on a vacation to a Texas ranch. Her reluctance disappears when she meets rancher Bobby Elk. Since his wife died, Bobby thought he was past the point of feeling the kind of attraction he feels for Julianne. An unexpected pregnancy following a one-night stand causes them both to reevaluate their future. Sheri Whitefeather's latest, CHEROKEE BABY (2), doesn't meet readers' usual expectations. That the characters never seem comfortable with each other is only one of the problems that plague this story.
