Book Review

by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Fisher kicks off a refreshing new series, Lancaster County Secrets, with characters that are strong, both in body and spirit. They also have weaknesses that develop into strengths with the choices they make.

Carrie Weaver was willing to leave her family, faith and friends to be with Sol, the man she loves with all her being. When her father suddenly passes away, she knows she must stay and help raise her younger brother, Andy. When Daniel Miller proposes they get married, she agrees only to have a safe haven for her brother and get away from her stepmother, Esther. But they're both keeping secrets -- from each other and from the community. When another death occurs, Carrie does not know what she will do. (REVELL, Jan., 320 pp., $14.99)
